I am interested in any information on John M. Johnson (1853- ), son of Samuel Johnson (1800-1860) and Elizabeth Lynch ( c.1819-aft.1870), brother of Samuel J. Johnson (1855-1921). He was probably born around Taylorsville, Worcester, MD. Married Lavinia Mitchell (c. 1855- ), daughter of Rufus W. Mitchell and Gatty F. Dennis, in 1875. He and his wife lived in Ocean City in 1880 where he was a bar tender. In 1900, his family lived in Newark, which now included Mary (b. 1882), Moses C. (b. 1885), Andrew J. (b. 1892), Henry L. (b. 1894), and Olivia B. (b. 1896).

Can anyone give me current map information for this location: west side of Pocomoke River toward the head of land called Askinemkonson. This is in Acquango 100 in 1783 tax list but may? be part of Wicomico later. I've googled but the spelling is making it difficult. Thanks in advance. Liz
