Note that some Veach family or families moved to SW PA and/or northern WV by the early 1800s, along with other families from Sussex and Kent Counties, DE (see Carol's post concerning Magdalen Willey's daughter Nancy, for example). Sometimes a name occurring frequently as a will and/or deed witness was the one who actually wrote the document -- the scrivener -- someone in a given neighborhood who was literate and had copies of the "boilerplate" will/deed model(s).
