Worcester Orphans Court records (Donald Heise, Vol. 2, page 284) shows that 12 Oct 1813 Christopher Ball discharged from guardianship to Luther Ball of John and Delia Ball of John. New guardian is David K. Baker of Accomack County. I am fairly certain I had sent you this. It is possible that the Accomack Records may contain more information, but I don't think I have the years in question. However, most county records are available on film through ILL from the Library of Virginia, if you want to look through them. Go to the Library of Virginia website and find City and County records, then select Accomack. When you fill out the request at your local library, you will need to specify the county as well as the reel name and number, as the reel numbers are somewhat generic. The fee is minimal, and you can then sit in your own library to read the records and copy anything useful. This seems to have been an amicable change of guardians, as we later find Christopher P. as surety for David. For some reason, I think I once knew that Christopher and Christopher P. were two separate persons. At least, I think so. Elizabeth In a message dated 7/14/2010 10:53:36 A.M. Orphans Court Records it states that a balance due Luther Ball and Delia Ball from Christopher Ball, late guardian 13 Jan 1814, recrived of Mr. Christopher Ball. I know that a Christopher Ball was Luther and Delia's guardian when their father died in 1811. Is this record saying that the original Christopher Ball died and another Christopher Ball gave them the balance due? OR could their guardian changed from one Christopher Ball to another Christopher Ball and it was the 2nd Christopher Ball who received the Balance due? I know Luther and Delia were still minors in 1814. I don't understand the record. Thanks for your clarification. I just got this response: "Your order has been submitted for processing. Your card will be charged when the order is completed. You should receive a response in 30 business days in the form of paper copies sent via the U.S. Postal Service" 30 business days - we'll see! I calculate they owe it to me by August 25 or so. Liz
