    1. [LDR] Re: Town of Christiana?
    2. LeeAnn Dean
    3. There was and is. Both are in New Castle County. The Hundreds are not governmental entities but are hold overs from the colonial period. They now only really appear in real estate documents and as locators as divisions of the 3 counties. The town of Christians is a town. 3. Yes, indeed, there was and is a town of Christiana DE. It's just below I-95 about midway between Newark and Wilmington. That's New Castle County. I lived there for two years. Quite a bit of history because it was on the route from Baltimore to Philadelphia, more or less. 1. [LDR] Rev. Samuel Ford - Silas Ford
    2. Some people on Ancestry have Silas Ford (cir 1813-1895) listed as a son of Rev. Samuel Ford (1774-1847). Samuel Ford left a detailed will and never mentioned Silas so I doubt if this is correct. However, I think they were related because of DNA matches I am getting with Silas descendants. Does anyone have any insight into the identity of the parents of Silas? Eleanor Brundick [email protected]net.net

    2. They lived in Accomack, Va. James Lewis married Peggy Bonneville or Bonwell. Of their children, their dau. Margaret "Peggy" Lewis married Robert Russell. Peggy died after June 1814. Robert then married a Tabitha???. Robert Russell and Tabitha (???) had a son Robert Taylor Russell b. 1819 and a son William Parker Russell. I "THINK" Tabitha could be the sister of Robert's 1st wife but I have to prove it. Do you know anything about Tabitha Lewis the dau. of James Lewis and the sister of Margaret "Peggy" Lewis? 3. If anyone is related to the Trevalion (varous spellings) family in Dorchester County Maryland I have traced a bit of their ancestry back to York county Virginia and from there to Brabourne Kent England. I have found the baptismal records of John, Thomas and Edmund Chisman (Cheeseman) in Braborne Kent and their father's name Thomas. Edmund Chisman's daughter married Robert Curtis of York Co Va. whose daughter Jane m. John Trevalion. They moved to Dorchester at some point. I have more detail if anyone is interested.

    1. [LDR] Determining the date of records
    2. George Dill
    3. I am researching records of the Dill and Odora families. I have found copies of the following documents in the Talbot County Court Proceedings, 1662-1674. Vol 154; pages 485, 494, 516, and 554 but I have not been able to find the date these pages were written. Can anyone help me come up with the dates? Also on page 94 of the Maryland Land Records lists Clora Odora twice, one for Deed 267 and the secon for Deed 294. How do I get copies of these deeds? Thanks for all suggestions. George Dill
