Dear Julie As a follow-up to your excellent previous response, I wonder if I could impose on you with two further questions regarding availability of relevant parish archives at Reading, St Mary. As you know, I am trying to track John Lovelock and his wife Elizabeth Woolfe who married at Reading St Mary in 1739. We know that only one male son from that marriage survived and he later settled at Wallingford St Mary le More. However, I have never found the death/burial of John Lovelock senior or what happened to his other two daughters: Lucy and Martha who were baptised at Reading St Mary in 1740/41 and 1745 respectively. I have, as you suggest, already searched the parish registers for Reading St Mary as they have been filmed by the Mormons and I can access the films of the registers from here in Australia. I believe I may have found the burial of Elizabeth Woolfe as follows: 1767 Aug 5 Elizabeth Lovelock But I can't be sure from this entry. I have never found a burial for her husband John Lovelock. Nor have I found any marriage or burial entries for the daughters Lucy or Martha. I have also searched the surrounding parishes without result. I wondered if perhaps they might have become non-conformists? I have searched what non-conformist records I can that have been filmed by the Mormons. I note there are Lovelocks baptised at Reading, Broad Street Meeting-Independent between 1807 and 1813. But they don't appear to be related. COULD YOU POSSIBLY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT NON-CONFORMIST RECORDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR READING FOR THE PERIOD 1740-1830? I would be most grateful. Perhaps you have a list of your holdings for Berkshire relevant to family history research which I could purchase rather than asking you all thee questions? Or perhaps they are on-line? I would be happy to purchase if available. It also occurs to be that there might be MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTIONS for Reading St Mary which just might turn up the deaths of John Lovelock and Elizabeth Woolfe. If I might be permitted a further question, ARE MIs AVAILABLE FOR READING ST MARY AND HAVE THEY BEEN PUBLISHED AND BY WHOM?
