    3. Hi Col Well done. That gives us a bit more info to work on. However, that baptism of Thomas L c 1851 at Hartley Wintney in Berkshire is just as elusive. I checked the new LDS British Isles Vital Records (2nd edition) for you, but alas nothing. Since Thomas was apparently not baptised at Hartley Wintney, he was probably baptised at an adjoining parish. So you will have to search adjoining parishes that have not as yet been searched in that time period. It might also be possible to pick up his father, Thomas the Malster, in the 1851 census, hopefully living at Hartley Wintney. However, I don't believe any of us have extracted any Lovelocks from the 1851 census for Hampshire, have we? I can't even remember checking how much of the 1851 census for Hampshire has been indexed. But I'm sure one of the members of the Lovelock list will be able to enlighten us. Alternatively, the Wiltshire Record Office should know.
