Hello all, Maybe everyone was aware of this already, but just in case - the UK PRO has once again made the 1901 UK census available on-line. This time it seems to work! Currently this is a test site, available 9:00 to 19:00 (GMT+1 -tough on the Aussies!) but presumably if it doesn't fall over it will continue. The information available for free includes name, age, birthplace, county and parish (of census return) and occupation.The image of the original document is available for a fee. I already collected all the free information about LovelUcks. Now onto the LovelOcks! Maybe we could share out the collection by county (one can do this by entering the county in the "Where born" field of the search form, but oddly one has to specify gender and search for males and females separately. I'll start with Wilts.
