Lyneham is actually quite close to Marlborough (about 12-15 miles?) so the Lyneham connection is not inconsistent with Arthur's information from his father. One interesting point is that although it seems that Arthur signs himself LovelOck, it seems that his cousin Clifford used the LovelUck form. Is this an example of the Welsh pronunciation changing the spelling, as Janet Hearle claimed happened for "my" Loveluck branch?
