Hello, I am a descendent of the Wootton River Lovelocks (Grandfather Francis George b 1881 to George b. 1846 and Harriet), and have become interested in the town of Wootton Rivers (which I have not yet visited). According to the web phone books, there are no Lovelocks still living in Wootton Rivers. Can anyone tell me when the last Lovelock left Wootton Rivers? The latest I have is the birth on October 18, 1942 of a second cousin (I have the name, but presumably he is still living). Off topic, but there are a number of references on the web to a Jack Spratt having built the St. Andrew's Church clock in about 1911. However, I have not been able to locate him in either the 1881 or 1891 Census. Has anyone any information on him? Finally, any pointers to more information on the history and social life of Wootton Rivers would be appreciated - I've done the obvious Google searches. Thank you, David Lovelock Tucson, AZ, USA b.
