Thanks Jean, that's interesting. Berkshire is very much Lovelock country of course! However, Robert's latest Berkshire Lovelocks file has scarcely any entries for Wantage - just a few marriages and burials in the 16th and 17th centuries! Any chance that you could get a bit more information, e.g. grandfather's name and approx. date of birth.
