    3. Hello John, I think I found the family in the 1881 census, living at Kiln House, Charlton, Berks. The date of birth of Tom A(rthur) Lovelock is given as 1874, which is close to what James stated. There is also a younger brother Frederick, who must be "uncle Fred". The father's occupation is given as "brick burner" and the eldest son as "brick maker". It seems that the parents (James' grandparents) were from Hampshire. See details below. I looked in the "Lovelocks in Hampshire" file for the baptism of James (grandfather) at WInchfield. There is a baptism as follows: 1832 Jul 1 James s. of Richard and Hannah Lovelock but this is about 7 years out if the census data is anything like correct. I didn't find a record for the marriage either. 2. Graham Lovelock
    3. Graham in deepest Yate again, clearly without enough to do ........... Do we not have anyone with a particular interest in the Shalbourne Lovelocks? It's just that there seems to be a fair bit of information available on them and yet we do not have an appropriate "Fragment".
