Hello Tony, I have visited the ruins of Ty FRY many times, mainly owing to the great views from its site, out over Kenfig and the Bristol Channel. However, a little story told to me by an old man in his eighties. Mr. Doug [ machine ] Watkins, who lives in a cottage below. He told me of the following event in 1907 when 2 grown ups and 2 children had died of cholera at Ty Fry. A remaining child had been taken away to Aberavon by Hooper family who were related in some way. Only a story, but worth recording.
