Hello all, Lovelock Lines Edition 2 is now available on the Web site. It's full of interesting Lovelock stories and surprising aspects of Lovelock family history! Many thanks to all the contributors (Max Lovelock, Yann Lovelock, Robin Lovelock and John Lovelock), to Yann Lovelock who did the editing, and to Robert Sterry for technical assistance. Thanks also to John Lovelock who is taking care of postal subscriptions. The file size is about 720 KB so it may take some time to download over dial-up. There's a link to Lovelock Lines #2 on the What's New page, together with artwork courtesy of Yann: http://perso.numericable.fr/~lovjames/family-history/lovelock/new.html James [Message re-sent with my other email address so that the message gets into the archives]
Congratulations to all concerned on 'Lovelock Lines Number 2'. I've skimmed the on-line version and await the postman for my "subscribers' copy" - a 'plug' for your efforts John! Having not realised there were so many Lovelocks around (especially beyond Wootton Rivers!) until 'Lovelocks Alive' last June, I've continued to believe there was/is "only one Robin Lovelock"; perhaps there is only one Christopher Robin L - myself. Be that as it may, fear turned to relief when I spotted 'my' name in James's message and then on the cover of the Newsletter itself. I did agree to write something for a later edition, but ....... was I dreaming?! So, just to say, "Hi" - if he's 'on' this list - to the other, or another, Robin Lovelock, and living not so very far away from me. And - is this modesty or immodesty? - for those who 'know' me from this mailing list but not 'by sight', the author of 'The Clapham Junction Line', and whose picture appears therein with his wife, is not 'yours truly'. Best wishes to all Robin - of Southampton! ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Loveluck" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 9:59 PM Subject: Lovelock Lines Edition 2 is on line! > Hello all, > > Lovelock Lines Edition 2 is now available on the Web site.
