Hello Colin, Thanks for your interesting message about Jane Lovelock, daughter of Thomas & Catherine Lovelock. You will find Jane's family in the "Lieflock Line" on the Lovelock Web site: http://perso.numericable.fr/~lovjames/family-history/lovelock/fragments/lieflock-line.htm However, we only have five children of Thomas and Catherine (née Haywodd): Jane (bap 1811), Rebecca (bap 1813), Ann (bap 1814) John (bap 1816) and Matilda (bap 1821), all baptised at Wootton Rivers. Do you have the names of all 6 children? It would indeed be interesting to have a copy of Jane's letter. If it is a scanned image you won't be able to send it to the mailing list, since attachments are not allowed, but if you send it driectly to me I can add it to the Lovelock Web site. Is Cuckoo's Knob the name of your father's house, or is this a hamlet within Wootton Rivers? The reason I ask is that there is an 1871 census entry for Cuckoo's Knob, and the occupants are George Smart, his wife Harriet (née Lovelock) and their children. Harriet was a cousin of the Jane Lovelock who wrote the letter.
