    3. Hello all, Thanks to the efforts of a number of contributors, we have on the Web site a very impressive collection of source records, including the "Lovelocks by parish" files for different counties (special mention must be made here of the work done on these by Robert Sterry), and collections of census records for certain counties and census years. However, these collections are far from complete, and I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to list subscribers to help in adding to them. In order to focus the activity of enriching the material we have, it would probably be helpful to have some specific goals or projects (thanks to Robert Sterry for this suggestion). As a start, I've added a new section, "Projects" to the "Work in Progress" page on the Web site: http://perso.numericable.fr/~lovjames/family-history/lovelock/wip/wip.html and I've listed two projects - one to enhance the collection of census records, the other to enrich the collections of "lovelocks by parish" - the latter will require quite a bit of work just to define what needs to be done. For the first project, which I suggest we focus on initially, I've produced a table of the current status of our collection of census records for those counties for which we already have a collection of source records. The table shows, for each county and census year, the current status of our collection of Lovelock extracts (complete, incomplete or not started) and there is also a column for volunteers to sign up for particular collections. In the past few weeks Graham Lovelock has already been extracting records for Oxfordshire and Hampshire, but I haven't yet added his results to the Web site, so I've put him down as a volunteer for these collections! Please let me know if you're willing to contribute to this effort, even if you are not able to take on a big chunk of work every little helps. In order to move towards a more uniform format for the pages of census records (which is not the case at the moment) I'd be happy to produce the final HTML files. In order to do this, it's preferable if data is provided in as simple a format as possible - text files or simple Word files (without tables) with each field (place, name, relation, occupation, etc.) separated by at least two spaces. James
