    1. Lovelocks in Oxfordshire

    3. Hi all Have done another day down at the Society of Australian Genealogists (SAG) in Sydney - well, it IS school hols again! - and searched a lot more parishes in Oxfordshire. In fact, most of the parish registers in Oxfordshire have been transcribed and surname indexed - which is quite remarkable. The only other county I have so far come across which has so many modern transcriptions is Kent. There are 12 volumes of Oxfordshire PRs on fiche of which I have now searched 4. That leaves 8. So it will take me at least another three visits to search them all. Most of the Lovelocks I have found so far are post 1800 and on my direct line. But as I have very little source material on this line - most of it is from Gwen and based on the IGI and correspondence with other researchers - I am quite interested in this material. I have sent a current version of Lovelocks_in_Oxfordshire to James who will no doubt in time place it on the Lovelock web site. If you would like your own copy, email me individually. But please bear in mind that research on this county is very much in progress and will take some time to complete. You might prefer to wait until it is complete. Best wishes Robert ---------------------------------------------- Lovelock Family History http://www.ri.silicomp.fr/~loveluck/genealogy/lovelock/
