Malcolm is in the process of making a detailed comparison of the two files with Wilts. Nimrod marriage extracts, but a casual inspection reveals that the most important difference is that the extracts I obtained only go up to 1750, whereas Malcolm has entries up to 1890. It seems that I only requested entries up to 1750 - I must have been short of cash at the time :-) However, this doesn't explain all the differences - even for those entries before 1750 there are about 30 in Malcolm;s file which are not in mine, and about 20 in my file which are not in Malcolm's.
