Malcolm (and all) Bagshot has never been a parish - it is little more than a hamlet, just a little downstream (in a more or less northerley direction) from Shalbourne. It does have either a chapel or small church, but it is so long since I was there that I can not remember which. The stream is un-named, rises not much above Shalbourne and eventually has been engineered to feed the Kennet and Avon canal just west of Hungerford. On some old maps the hamlet was the site of a mill, sometimes referred to as BUGSHOT Mill. The place has been around a while though, because it got a mention in the Domesday Book.
