For the moment I'm doing a lot of research for Australians, New Zealanders,Irish, Canadians and British to locate their family members who were killed during the Great War in Belgium or France. If you have any relative who fought in my country or France during the WW1, I would be glad the locate him and sent you a picture of his headstone. This is free of charge. The only thing I would like in return is his picture. Why? If the picture is of good quality then I plastify it and place it next to the headstone. This way the thousands of tourists who visit these cemeteries can see who's really buried there and do not just see the lonely, sad stone. 2. James Loveluck
    3. Hello all, I've updated the "Kent Lovelock Records" with the latest versions of the parish records and 1851 census extracts provided by Robert Sterry on 18 Apr. Here's Robert's description of this update: "Checked some additional partially indexed fiche for Kent 1851 census. No additional Lovelocks but have updated what's been additionally checked now. Also found an error in one of folio numbers and corrected. Continued working on indexed BDMs available for Kent. Have now completed down to 'T'. Meagre results I'm afraid for amount of hours invested. But worth doing all the same." Regards, James

    2. John Lovelock
    3. An item spotted in the Rootsweb Review that might be of help to some Lovelock Listers. Best Wishes John Lovelock Hedgerley Bucks 1901 ENGLAND CENSUS. Ancestry has begun posting names to its 1901 England Census project. Through a license agreement with the National Archives of England, Wales and the United Kingdom, Ancestry will digitize the 1.47 million original census images on 1,813 rolls of microfilm. Upon completion, the collection will contain about 32.5 million names and will be fully indexed and searchable by name, county and parish, with the search results linking directly to images. As with other census years, civil registration, and parish databases that Ancestry has added recently, the 1901 census is available to current subscribers at no additional cost. The recent release completes the counties of Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, and London -- nearly 8 million names or 24% of the entire census.

    1. Death of Ann Lovelock
    2. Graham Lovelock
    3. Despite years of off-and-on searching I am still stumped regarding the death of my great-grandmother Ann (nee Andrews). She was baptised at Great Bedwyn on 16 Nov 1820, and was still alive at the 1881 Census (at Tidcombe), and gave her age as 60. I have not been able to find her in the 1891 Census. The only death entry I can find in the GRO Index information we have on the Website which might be her occurs in the Apr-Jun quarter of 1888 in Islington (reference 1b 235) - age possibly 67. If this is her I have no idea what she would have been doing there. Does anyone know for certain who the Ann in Islington was? FreeBMD has nothing else to offer. Graham

The event is also mentioned on the Berkshire Family History Society Website. Our After Dinner Speaker ( Colin Dean ) will present a talk entitled "Edited Highlights". The talk describes some of the amusing consequences that Editors such as Colin can experience when words, spelling, grammar or proof reading goes wrong. Jeremy is in the process of writing to, or e mailing people who have booked regarding arrangements for paying the balance. A further update will be issued in May. My g-g-g-gf Robert Lovelock (son of Stephen and Elizabeth, married Jane Currie, Monaro NSW) was also transported to NSW (see Fragments 9 and 11?) and there were two Lovelock convicts to Tasmania, Henry and William. I wonder which 'Australian convict index' you were looking at? With best wishes Dianne P.S. It is a very patriotic site :-) James LOVELOCK arrived 1835 aboard "England" third voyage, tried Wilts in 1834, sentenced 7 yrs aged 41 yrs. Robert LOVELOCK arrived 1833 aboard "Andromeda II" second voyage, tried Surrey 1832, sentenced life (gulp) aged 18 yrs. This pair each have a link to a researcher at above link. I will leave it to closer family members to introduce them to this list & the reunion.
