Roger Larry Roberts SHELBY - Roger Larry Roberts, 67, of Shelby, entered his heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017. He was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Roberts and Margaret Louise Dover Roberts. He had a long history in construction throughout Cleveland County and later retired from ABB. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Franklin Roberts Jr. and Hubert Lee Roberts. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Lovelace Roberts; daughter Christy R. Hamrick of Shelby; sons, Todd Roberts (Heather) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Shea Roberts of Shelby; four grandchildren, Cody Hamrick (Catherine) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Jacob Hamrick, Kayla Roberts and Joshua Roberts all of Shelby; brother, Bobby Roberts (Carol) of Cherryville; and many loving family and friends. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Cleveland Funeral Services. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy McKee officiating.
