William D. Loveless William D. Loveless, 57, Chinchilla, died Monday morning at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after he lost a courageous battle to ALS. His wife is the former Gerry Oakes. Born in Scranton, son of the late William and Doris White Loveless, he was a transportation supervisor for PennDOT. He was a member of Clarks Green United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting, and was a well-crafted woodworker. Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Loveless, Yonkers, N.Y.; two sisters, Betty Jean Green and her husband, Ronald, Throop; and Beverly Rafalko and her husband, Chet, Throop; a brother-in-law, John Oakes, Chinchilla; a sister-in-law, Joanne Kronstedt and her husband, John, Waverly, Minn.; an uncle, Chester White and his wife, Eleanor, N.J.; an aunt, Betty Hornbaker; three nieces, April Davey, Robyn Green and Rachel Rafalko; two nephews, Ronald Green and Chet Rafalko; several cousins and a loving dog, Brandy. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Clarks Green United Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road, Clarks Green, with services by the Rev. Brent Stouffer, pastor. Interment will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
