    3. CHINCHILLA — William D. Loveless, 57, Chinchilla, died Monday morning, Sept. 22, 2014, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after he lost a courageous battle to ALS. His wife is the former Gerry Oakes. Born in Scranton, he was a son of the late William and Doris White Loveless. He was a transportation supervisor for PennDOT. He was a member of Clarks Green United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and was a well crafted woodworker. Also surviving is a daughter, Jennifer Loveless, Yonkers, New York; two sisters, Betty Jean Green and her husband, Ronald, Throop, and Beverly Rafalko and her husband, Chet, Throop; a brother-in-law, John Oakes, Chinchilla; a sister-in-law, Joanne Kronstedt and her husband, John, Waverly, Minnesota; an uncle, Chester White and his wife, Eleanor, New Jersey; aunt, Betty Hornbaker; three nieces, April Davey, Robyn Green and Rachel Rafalko; two nephews, Ronald Green and Chet Rafalko; several cousins; and a loving dog, Brandy. The funeral service was held from the Clarks Green United Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road, Clarks Green, with services by the Rev. Brent Stouffer, pastor. Interment in Abington Hills Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 South State St., Clarks Summit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clarks Green United Methodist Church at the above address; or The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, McAuley Suite 110, 5801 Smith Ave., Baltimore, MD 21209.
