Anyone else? =================== Published in The Herald on Oct. 23, 2014 Sam White FORT MILL, S.C. - Mr. Samuel "Sam" Elliott White, 65, of Fort Mill, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at his home. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Unity Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The memorial service will follow in the sanctuary at 2 p.m. with Dr. Dan Holloway officiating. Born in Charlotte, Sam was a son of the late Hugh Monroe White Jr. and Ann Stirewalt White. He graduated from Fort Mill High School, where he was a star basketball player. Sam also graduated with a Liberal Arts Degree in History from Western Carolina College. He was hired at the Springs Credit Union as a debt collector and worked his way up to C.O.O. of Founders Federal Credit Union. He retired after 37 years of service. Sam was a founding member of the Fort Mill Rotary Club and was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed football, basketball, baseball and racing. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Lovelace White of Fort Mill; his children, Tom Williams (Teri) of Fort Mill, Angela Brock of Rock Hill and Cindy Averitt of North Myrtle Beach and Donna Williams of Fort Mill; his brother, Bobby White (Jeannie) of North Myrtle Beach; his long-time special friend, Janet Carswell of Fort Mill; his nephew, Shane White (Jennifer) of North Myrtle Beach; his great nieces, Jayden Coree White and Sydney Ann White; great-nephew, Jackson Monroe White; four grandchildren, Joel Arrington, Kathryn (Kevin) Reis, James Brock and Kagelyn Varnadore and two great-grandchildren, Karly and Kolten.
