Trudie was the eldest of 11 children born October 6, 1928 in Homer, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lugene & Bessie Bursey; husband, Ulysses Jack; father of children, Dillar Birch Jr.; children, Clarence, Clinton and baby boy Birch; siblings, Ollie, James & Fettis Bursey and Catherine O'Neil. Trudie is survived by (5) children, Mary L. Evans, Mable (Roosevelt) Boatwright, James (Shellie) Birch, Barbara Palmer & Shirley (Thomas Jr.) Hines; (9) grandchildren, (16) great-grandchildren; sisters, Lessie Mae (Robert) Johnson, Doris Flemming and Annie Mae (Larry) Lovelace; brothers, Billy (Beverly) Bursey, Charles (Ruth) Bursey; sister-in-law, Della Bursey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Ora Holley, Louise Ferrell, Gertrude Bradley, Roosevelt Jared, Libby Weathers, and Margaret London. Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m., FRIDAY, May 15, 2015 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., with The Reverend Lawrence Spann, officiating.
