I am also descended from William Haydon and his wife Tabitha. He named his two grandchildren, Tabitha Oldham and William Oldham, in his will. Tabitha Oldham is my line. . . she married Thomas Lovelace of Richmond Co. and they later moved to Pittsylvania Co. and Halifax Co., VA. Tabitha wrote her will there in 1833. I am sending a link to some research done by a cousin of mine, Deborah Richardson. There is information about William Haydon's will and then on to Tabitha Oldham Lovelace. Tabitha Oldham Lovelace's son, Thomas Lovelace, Jr., married Nancy Mitchell in Pittsylvania Co., VA and their daughter Winifred Lovelace, wife of Jesse Pitts of Pittsylvania Co., were the parents of my great-great grandfather William C. Pitts. The Pitts family later went to Weakley Co., TN. I can provide more information aside from the newsgroup if you need anything. Link to Haydon/Lovelace family information: http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/LOVELACE/1997-09/0875191517 http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/LOVELACE/2005-07/1121432965 Note that James Oldham's wife is Leannah (Brown?) and listed as mother of his children, but that is incorrect. She was his second wife. His first wife was Tabitha Haydon, daughter of William Haydon. Her children Tabitha Oldham and William Oldham are mentioned in her father William Haydon's will as the links prove above.
