    3. BERTHA LUERA(1949 - 2015) Bertha Alicia Luera passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the age of 65. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Gabriel Luera; her children Gabriel Jr. (Catherine), Eric (Naomi), Tonya Marissa (Phil) and Julissa Rochelle; grandchildren Kayla, Eric, Aaron, Christian and Kamden; sisters Rosa Lovelace, Martha Holstead, Maria Elena Cabello and brother Esequiel Valadez Jr. Preceded in death by her father Esequiel Valadez and her mother Carmen Valadez. She was also loved by many nephews and nieces as well as many friends and neighbors. Always there for her children and grandchildren, she took on their hobbies to be closer to them including her love for basketball, golf, cheerleading, football, track, karate, soccer, reading and music. Having just celebrated her 45th anniversary, she wrote "To my husband Gabriel - My friend, confidant, financial and emotional support. You demanded so little and gave so much in return to everyone you cared for. You make me laugh with your wit and simply being funny. I'd be lost without you". Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home East at 1460 George Dieter Drive with Rosary at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Stephen's Catholic Church at 1700 George Dieter Drive followed by Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
