Edward M. Seal Suffolk - Edward "Ed" Moffat Seal, 73, beloved husband and father, was lifted up into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 18, 2015. He is predeceased by his son, Michael Edward Seal; and parents, Agnes Loving Seal and Edward Atwell Hunt Seal, Jr., formerly of Richmond. Ed was born in Richmond, VA and came to the Hampton Roads area to attend Frederick College. After graduation, he was employed by General Electric Co. for several years. He was presently employed by Plasser American Corp. in Chesapeake where he enjoyed interacting daily with his co-workers. Ed was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and always had a willingness to help others. You could always count on a hug and a big smile when he greeted you. Ed is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patsy Redd Seal; daughter, Wendi Seal Sanzo and husband Brian; two dearly loved grandchildren, Kayla Makenzie Sanzo and Brendan Michael Sanzo; brother, Richard Seal and wife Sandra of Richmond; nephew, Hunter Seal; niece Kelly Davoud; aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Ray Lovelace of Richmond; many cousins; three brothers-in-law, John Redd of Portsmouth, Richard Redd (Beth) of Suffolk and Robert Redd (Donna) of Louisiana; and a multitude of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 AM in Ebenezer UMC by the Rev. Carl LeMon. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Eclipse. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk on Thursday from 7-8:30 PM.
