They have a daughter named Lula Ward, who is 18 and single. James Ward and Addie Ward are found on the 1900 census for Laurens County, South Carolina (E.D. 0063, Page 0356, Sheet 06B, Line 74, Dwelling 0196, Family 0112). They have a daughter named Lula Ward, who is 8 years old. From her death certificate, Addie's maiden name is Fincher. There is a World War I Draft Registration record for John Griffin Lovelace, dated 13 Sep 1918, in which John lists his nearest relative as Lulu Lovelace. John registered for the draft at his local draft board in Union County, South Carolina. John Griffin gives his date of birth as 10 Dec 1883. The death certificate for John Lovelace, the son of Richard Lovelace and Jane Goins, has his date of birth as 13 Dec 1883 in North Carolina. -- Jack D.
