    3. I have often wondered why we don't get a lot of spam on the list, so here is a great big THANK YOU Greg for all you do. Bob Stewart -----Original Message----- From: Greg Lovelace via Sent: Wednesday, March 04, 2015 11:09 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [LL] List matters Hi, everyone… In the past few days, there has been a drastic jump in the number of spam messages coming into the list. My job is to deal with those messages and either approve them or mark them as spam and delete them. This morning there were 99, and there has been an average of 75 or so per day. It takes a lot of time to go through the list and make sure they are spam before marking each one to forward to the Rootsweb spam detector and then marking them for deletion. This morning, I just deleted them all without looking. So be forewarned… If posting to the list, make sure you use the address with which you subscribed. Otherwise, the mail will end up the list for me to moderate, and as long as this volume of spam keeps pouring in, I’m just gonna delete them without looking. Most of the time, if a legit message gets bounced over to the moderator list, it is because it was sent to the list from a non-subscribed address. So keep this in mind, and give your pore ol’ list admin a little help ☺ Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
