Obituary Picture appears to be an African-American MORGAN, Nakia A. Nakia A. Morgan, 40, of Fayetteville, GA formerly of West Point, GA passed February 28, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, 1:00 pm EST at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1111 East 10th Street, West Point,GA, with the Rev. Ralph Thompson, Jr. serving as Eulogist. Interment will be held in Marseilles Cemetery. Nakia was a product of the Troup County Public Schools and received an Associate Degree in Sport Medicine from GA Military College and a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of West GA. He was employed by ApolloMD. Nakia was a member of the Capital City School Officiating Group and worked the GHSA Finals in 2012, 2013 and 2014. As a college official, he was a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Southern Conference, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and Peach Belt Conference. Nakia lived a very active life. He was a member of World Changers Church. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Nakia was the author of a book entitled, "Tales of a Tiger." He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Lovelace,Sr. and foster grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hodo. He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Kaden Naki Williams, Atlanta, GA; a loving and devoted mother, Yvonne Mwikuta, West Point, GA; two brothers, Fyebo Kaven (Alysia) Mwikuta, Lanett, AL, Darryl Morgan, Opelika, AL; a God brother, Jeff Billingslea, West Point, GA; one sister, Allyson (William) Jones, Lanett, AL; a grandmother, Margaret Wright, Opelika, AL; Five aunts, Janie M. Ransom, Lanett, AL; Jennifer Copeland, Penny Ward, both of West Point, GA; Mattie Bell Jones and Minnie Jones, Opelika, AL; Three uncles, George Henry (Regina) Lovelace, Raymond (Barbara) Lovelace, Lanett, AL and John S. (Jarvis) Lovelace, West Point, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and well wishers.
