ANTELOPE – Rosemary A. Garrard, 77, passed away March 17, 2015, at the St. Luke Hospital in Marion, Kansas. She was born October 24, 1937, at Antelope, Kansas, the daughter of Archie and Helen (Loveless) Dody. She was united in marriage to John K. Garrard on June 2, 1955. She worked in elderly services and in later years managed the St. Luke Auxiliary Shop in Marion, from its inception. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Jim Dody, Dorothy Yost and three infant sisters. She is survived by her husband, John; her children: John B. and wife Sandra of Antelope; Debbie Hardy and husband Randy of Goessel; Jo Mead and husband Steven of Hugoton; and Robin Arocha and husband Joe of Marion; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Bob Dody of Ft. Collins, CO; Don Dody of Newton; Keith Dody of Newton; Jean Swanson of Newton; and Susie Bernhardt of McPherson. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Valley United Methodist Church of Marion. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A memorial fund has been established for ALS Association in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
