KINGSTON - Peter N. Altomari, Jr., 64, of Hurley Avenue, Kingston, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 1, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born June 1, 1950 in Kingston, he is the son of Mary Theresa (Pagliaro) Altomari of Kingston and the late Peter N. Altomari, Sr. Peter was a graduate of Kingston High School and attended Ulster County Community College. He was employed by Hudson Cement, Barker Marine Towing and T.J. Feeney Enterprises. He was a member of the Kingston Power Boat Association. An avid sportsman and golfer he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Barbara Altomari of Kingston; a daughter, Marla Altomari; a sister, Dawn Altomari and her wife Lisa Motluck; his grandchildren, Nariana and Gabriel. Nieces and nephews, Anthony Zupa and his wife Michelle, Nancy Zupa and her son Delton Loveless, Jule and Quinn Rathjen. Great nieces and nephews also survive. Peter's determination and sparkling personality will be missed by all of those who loved him. A son, Christopher Altomari predeceased him. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral procession will form 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church. Burial Saint Mary's Cemetery.
