The worst incident that I ever encountered was the college professors who had been invited to a big wig cocktail party. Unfortunately, their eight year old son broke his leg earlier in the afternoon. They went to the hospital to get him and brought him home. He was sleepy from the ordeal, so they put him to bed. AND THEN WENT OUT TO THE COCKTAIL PARTY!! Incredible. When asked why they went out and left him there, they assumed he'd sleep for a few hours. Did they not think about him waking up or what would happen if there was a fire or other emergency.
