Mornin' Cuzzies, So, we continue on w/ the saga of the Buckley family....and we left off whereas the fathers of Wm F. Buckley, Jr., and Ole Buckley were working a ranch in Tampico, Mexico, w/ oiyle spewing every- where. W.F. Buckley, Sr., was tossed outta Mexico for life, and he gathered up his family and moved to New York wherein his children went to school in Europe. The younger two brothers stayed in Mexico and sent their children to the east coast to prep schools as the children reached high school....including Ole Buckley who went to Lawrenceville School in New Jersey. And, that's how Ole Buckley and Wm F., Jr., are lst cuzzies and the grandsons of the lst non-gun totin' sheriff of Duval Co. in South Texas. There was an old, beautiful Spanish style villa in San Antonio that Ole Buckley's uncle lived in when he came to the US. The uncle's daughter had a lovely wedding in the yard one year, and all the cuzzies came to the home for piano lessons every week. After the war in 1946, my family bought the home and I was raised in this same house as my family owned it for over 30 years. o : I probably met Ole Buckley when I was a teenager and he was in his 20's and was the biggie bachelor for the next 20+ years in Houston, various other cities, and Argentina wherein he was a petroleum engineer for their biggest water flood production of oil, mainly because he was bi-lingual. He and his brothers were big U of Texas grads, wherein the other Buckleys graduated from Yale. So, y'all have a good one today.....I'm off to take Mr. Kat to the vet. He's feeling a little poorly.
