    2. Mornin' Cuzzies, I'm just not gonna tell you it's hot here....it is all over the country, but, it's also August....and we'll be thru it all shortly. The continuing saga w/ the Buckleys....Ole Buckley and Wm F. Buckley Jr's grandpa is holding forth as the Sheriff in wild Duval Co. in South Texas at the turn of the century and raises 3 boys, 2 girls. The boys end up at the University of Texas wherein they all get degrees, with Wm F. Sr. getting a law degree, and they all head for Mexico where they buy a ranch in Tampico which hits enormous oil production. Generally in Mexico if you have anything worthwhile, you can expect the gubmit to take it....as Mexico has generally been one of the more corrupt places on earth forever. And, after awhile, that's exactly what Mexico did.....but, not before all the children were raised in Tampico as Ole Buckley was. They all lived in beautiful homes with hot and cold running help to take care of them. Then Mexico confiscated all the oil production and with that the land, too. Wm F. Buckley, Sr., being a lawyer was too involved in the country's politics, and Mexico banned him for life and kicked him out of the country. So, as he left w/ his family, he settled in New York. The other two brothers eventually left Mexico and settled in both Houston and San Antonio. The sisters who never married never left Austin after the boys went to the University of Texas....they were affectionately called the Tias which is aunt in Spanish. More later....enjoy yourselves today! Buckette
