Published in Shelby Star on November 26, 2010 SHELBY - Mrs. Mary Evelyn Lail, 86, of 107 Forrest Drive, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Cleveland Re-gional Medical Center. A native of Jackson County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Allie and Mammie Lankford Trammel. Evelyn was a member of Lillie Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rick Lail; and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gorman "Mutt" Lail of the home; three sons, Hal Lail, Terry Lail, both of Shelby, and Tim Lail and wife, Valerie, of Ellenboro; three grandchildren, Brandy Lovelace and husband, Andy, Linzy Lail, and Katrina Lail, all of Ellenboro; and nine great-grandchildren.
