Through Alfred's military records, I found the names of his brothers and sisters. I, too, have Elvira's death certificate. I also have a death record for a brother of Elvira, Elam Walker Davis. On it, it gives the name of his mother as Sarah Lovelace - but it shows his father as Sidney A. Davis. Since Elam's daughter was the informant, I think she just made a mistake on the name of his father. If you want further information, or have other information, let me know.
