The Star Shelby, NC November 21, 2010 VIRGINIA LOVELACE MARCH 18, 1939 – NOV. 20, 2010 CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Virginia "Jenny" Grace Bivens Lovelace, 71, of 111 Lovelace Lane, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. Jenny Grace was born on March 18, 1939 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Evan Herman Bivens and Clara Fite Bivens. She was a retired LPN. Jenny Grace was a member of Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church and worked with the youth for many years. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Jim Lovelace, of the home; son, Brint Thompson of Cherryville; three daughters, Kathy Perry and husband Steve of Shelby, Carolyn L. Verley and husband Mike of Cherryville and Deana Scism and husband David of Shelby; one brother, Arthur "Butch" Bivens and a sister Sue Ledford both of Cherryville; and four grandchildren Daniel Verley of Raleigh, Matthew Verley of Charlotte, Jenny Verley of Cherryville and Jordan Robinson of Shelby and a special caregiver, Karah "Cassie" Robbins. In addition to her parents Jenny Grace was preceded in death by her sister Linda Bivens Champion.
