Happy Christmas Eve, Cuzzins! What a treat to have a day off, and then two more the beginning of next week! It's a luxury we don't often have in the Lovelace house in the SC Lowcountry. It is cold here, even by my former standards. The weather prognosticators are hinting at the possibility of a snowflake or two on Sunday, mixed in with a cold rain beginning tomorrow night. We have lost many of our warm-weather plants due to the cold... out kumquat bush got hit really hard when we were in Arizona... it may be beyond help now, as are our lemon trees. But our grapefruit trees made it through OK, which is wierd. We're busy getting cooking done for tonight's traditional open-faced sandwich supper... this time we're using grilled tuna salad, home-made of course, and I just finished grilling the fish. We're also cooking in advance for tomorrow's dinner. Both Maya and Sara will be here tomorrow, so it's turkey and trimmings for dinner. We'll be having pancakes with fresh strawberries, kiwi, and pomegranate seeds after opening out stockings and before the big unwrapping event. Susan's mom will be coming down, hopefully on Sunday. So there are many preparations under way. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas. We will definitely do so! Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
