The Star Shelby, NC April 30, 2010 Louise Hamrick SEPT. 28, 1926 - APRIL 29, 2010 KINGS MOUNTION - Mrs. Louise Champion Hamrick, 83, of 1138 Oak Grove Road, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at White Oak Manor. Louise was born on September 28, 1926 in Cleveland County to the late J. Tommy and Ethel Mae Pryor Champion. She was a graduate of Bethware High School in 1944. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a life-long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Ann Hamrick; brother, James Champion; and sister, Ruth Champion Vess. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, W. Keever Hamrick; her loving daughter, Wanda Hamrick and Phyllis Hamrick of Kings Mountain. Her brother, Dean Champion and wife, Gay, of Shelby; her sister, Roberta Champion Lovelace of Rutherfordton; and sister-in-law Margarite Philbeck of Kings Mountain. Visitation: The family will receive friends after the gravside service, at the cemetery.
