Mornin' Cuzzies, Green sprouts still coming out.....I'd forgotten just how green and lush Houston can be.....it's gorgeous! ( : Yes, the word I get from mah friends is that the immigration thing is heating up on the border. Since at one time I lived in a house about a quarter of a mile from the Rio Grande River which seperates the two countries, I still have lots of friends up and down the Texas border and one really close friend in Arizona. But, everyone in Texas in the area are "packing" meaning they are carrying loaded guns. But, I don't know that that hasn't been the case for decades. Where I was, we all had loaded rifles mainly for livestock and varmits.....and that was only to put them out of their misery or protect them. We had them at the house for rattlesnakes. One night the dogs got rowled in the yard, and we found a rattlesnake was coming thru.....so, we shortened his trip a bit. This alarm is not aimed at the illegals coming through, but the drug cartels who have become so dangerous. And, not to worry abt. the children....they all know guns and shoot as well as the adults. I was very well schooled starting at age 5.....only because I was a big gal for my age. My ranch friends still living within 60 miles of the river say they have a loaded rifle leaning up against a corner almost in every room, and all their ranch hands are packing. And, of course, we are all very aware that guns could be totally outlawed in this country at any given moment. So, the populace in these areas are not nearly as peaceful as they once were. I've missed living there forever because at heart I'm a country girl, but on the other hand, I do know when I'm well off. So, I have a bunch of rat killing to do, and I'm off to do ------------> Have a good one! Buckette
