Not sure if you all are familiar with this website, but I have found a wealth of information in the form of duplication of original documents... they have all the Dawes enrollment cards (which contain many Lovelace members), Civil war/Rev war muster cards, Immigration applications as well as the standard census reports and newspaper articles. You have access to download or print copies with membership. WWW.FOOTNOTE.COM Membership is much cheaper than Ancestry especially if you do a year membership (works out to approx. $5 a month) Just found all of my Virginia relatives CW muster cards, as well as several requests for compensation from the Union for property used during the battles around Richmond, and even found a relative in trouble with the FBI for stealing cars in 1920! Thought I would share for those that haven't already been using the site. -SB _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy is not the too busy.
