Bill- I have no Rhea's in my line, and my Lovelace's weren't from TN--but I do a lot of research in Carter, Johnson, Sullivan, Greene,and Washington Cos in East Tennessee, and Ashe, Watauga and Rowan Co's in NC--and I run into the Rhea name a lot. Also, there were Lovelace's in either western Washington Co or Greene Co, and my line was in Rowan Co., NC. Try starting at www.usgenweb.com and from there go to the state and county you want to search. Also, there's a site called New River notes at www.newrivernotes.com that has a lot of info on the western NC and eastern TN area. You might also search Google for Goodspeed's History of Tennessee which has bios on a lot of the famiies in eastern TN.
