Mornin' Cuzzies, Well, it doesn't take long for all hell to break loose.....and come very close to what was once my back door. It seems the Zetas, the most violent of the drug cartels in Mexico, has just shot the hecky outta Cuidad Acuna, border town in Mexico across from Del Rio in West Texas, killing abt. 30 including that state's Comandante of the military.....and has just got a lot of my chums scared to death. I lived in Del Rio for abt. a decade, and could actually see Mexico from my front door. Since we ran a ranch, we were on the Bracero program, and most of our people were from Acuna. We were all friends, all family, generational. Makes one really realize how much Mexico's drug war is right in our backyards. And, these drug cartels threaten the local American press so that they don't publish any details abt. murders, probs.......news iss just sort of in general.....like "don't go across the river." I see from the local rag, such as it has become, that the Astros are still batting 1.000 in the loss dept. Can someone send us a new owner so we can buy some new bats?
