The Shelby Star, October 19, 2010 William "Billy" Carter SHELBY- William "Crash" Hass Carter, Jr. 54, of 2255-2 Rehobeth Church Road, died Oct. 12, 2010, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 14, 1955, in Cleveland County, he was the son of Betty Barnett Irvin and the late William Hass Carter Sr. He was employed as a supervisor by Genei Industries. Billy served in the Army. Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Judy Henderson Carter; son, Michael Carter and his wife, Gretchen of Charlotte; daugh-ter, Danyeal Emory of Gastonia; step father, Bill Irvin; two stepdaughters, April Martin of Marion and Pamela Daniels of Shelby; sister, Susan Lovelace and her husband, Scott of Lawndale; three step-sisters, Donna Wall, Carol Smith and Diane Jones; eight grandchildren, Cali, William, Brooke, Aliyah, Nathaniel, Jacob, Lexi and Harley.
