Johanna Sparks who married Benjamin Lovelace - do we have any details on her? I've got Sparks in a completely different family, and wondering now if my parents are REALLY distantly related, lol. I checked the archives and one of our members, Rockne Johnson, takes her back to Richard Sparks of New Jersey/Pennsylvania. Is that the generally accepted story? Any thoughts of Richard, b 1725, tying in with the North Carolina Sparks? Greg I also looked at the doc in the Kentucky section of the Lovelace website, but it doesn't go back before Richard either. They seem to be heading off to Kentucky in the wake of the Harrod and Boone parties, so it's certainly possible that they knew the NC Sparks, whose relatives were in the same wave of KY migration. Nancy in the Bay Area, Northern California, where we are still eating peaches (in mid September?) and finally have lovely weather, after a long cold summer, even across the bay from San Francisco.

The only thing I can find online is that Johanna was the daughter of Walter Sparks and the granddaughter of Richard Sparks. Nothing I find in a quick search gives anything further back.
