    2. Mornin' Cuzzies, Weather is semi nice around here. We've been getting a little rain thrown off from the storm that hit Mexico, keeping thingees a little cooler. The cat crew is enjoying their deck. I'm still mired in paper. Let me go thru w/ you what can happen when a spouse leaves abt. your credit card and the banks. Ole Buckley wired all his usual bills pertaining to the household to his credit card, such as electricity, cable, telephone, newspaper, etc. etc. Then he paid it all w/ one check every month. Made his life easier. But, the credit card never made a red cent on him because he was never late. I on the other hand did not have a credit card other than his for I didn't need one. I pay for everything with cash. I was on his credit card to use anytime I wanted. However, the credit card company said no, that was not true. So, as you inquire as to how yours is set up, you want the paper work. Do not take any bank's word for anything. See the paper work. The 2nd partner needs to be a co-holder of the card, not just a user. I was the co-holder, but they are claiming otherwise. I don't have the paperwork to prove that is not true. As it was, the bank immediately canceled the credit card, and we had to rewire everything thru another avenue before the funeral. To say I will never do bidness w/ that bank again tells it like it is! And, they are losing a fairly nice sized acct. over it. It's a big, major well-known nationwide bank. From around town I'm hearing if you always pay on time and pay no penalities, there's a possibility they will cancel your credit card for no reason and you have no recourse. But, it doesn't mess w/ your credit. You can just open another one someplace else. People are saying that credit unions are much easier and better to deal w/ than the banks. And, that's all I got to say about that.....y'all have a good one! ( : Buckette

    3. Susan - We're up to our ears in papers too... MIL died this month and left quite the mess for her son to tidy up. What I like is the shifty businesses that send your Mother's bills to collections, only with the SON'S name on it! Try keeping your credit clean when it isn't even your debt! Death is a messy business. -SB > From: spice3@juno.com > Date: Tue, 21 Sep 2010 15:18:08 +0000 > To: lovelace@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [LL] Tues Sept 21, 2010 > > Mornin' Cuzzies, > > Weather is semi nice around here.
