Afternoon Cuzzies, Glub, glub......we're still getting the rain, but not enough yet to drag out the water wings! The only good thing is that the big cell of rain seems to be moving and not stalling over the city, like has happened in the past when the po town flooded all over the place. And, speaking of floods, in my ole neighborhood of Del Rio, which is a border city on the Rio Grande River which separates Texas and Mexico, there is a flood of historic proportions! There's never been anything like it. And, those people out there don't know anything about bodies of water. I remember when I moved there, a bunch of little children drowned over Memorial Day week-end in the state.....I was so upset that that week I started swim classes in a local pool. There had never been any teaching of swimming there. One ole rancher told me that water was for people and livestock drinking and certainly not for people swimming! o : This was abt. 1960.
