In fact, on this Lovelace message board, I searched on Amelia Dyson and found a "tree" showing Thomas Lovelace and Amelia Dyson had a daughter, Sarah, who married Allan Davis. Theresa, Elizabeth and Mary must be Allen Davis and Sarah Lovelace's children, since they are all older than Alfred. I think Mariah is also their child. Emeline, however, is probably Rosanna Emeline who married George Babcock. I believe she is the child of Allen Davis and Margaret Houston. Interesting that you found information about "divorced". That would indeed explain why we can't find death record. If Sarah never came to Illinois with Allen, but the children did. . . .interesting.
