I am decended from Isaac B. Lovelace through his daughter Vinecia Lovelace Penrod. Isaac was the son of Elias I believe. Elias was married to Ann Robey. The Reese name is believed to come from Ann Robey's mother's maiden name. I have not confirmed this though. Isaac and his wife Ann (Tabitha "Ann" Johnson)moved to Johnson County Illinois in the late 1850's along with his brother Roby Lovelace's widow and her children. It was believed that Roby's wife Mary Ann Johnson Lovelace might have been the sister of Ann Johnson Lovelace. Reese Lovelace died during the Civil and is buried at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Johnson Co. Ill. Mary Ann, Roby's widow remarried Isaac's nephew. She is also buried in the same cemetery as Isaac, Ann and all most of their children. I have a photo of Isaac posted to my tree if you are interested. They are also found in the Lovelaceville census of 1850. Johnson County Ill. ! after that. I had Isaac, the son of Elias, married to Lucinda Ashley. Is this the wrong Isaac? It is not Elias's brother, Isaac.
